Spark-India is a Teacher Resource Unit dedicated to improving the quality of teaching in India. Started by three women with over 50 years of teaching experience between them, Spark-India is a specialised unit catering to teachers, educationists and all those interested in school education.

The endeavour to provide quality teaching-material to make the teaching-learning process easy, effective and enjoyable has culminated in the publication and distribution of good quality story books and play books for children of various age groups. Spark-India also offers audio, video, printed and other teacher-training material, as well as children's books for the class, and out of class for the true educational experience.

Spark-India undertakes workshops and consultancies for schools and other institutions to augment teachers’ resources.

Besides these, Spark-India compiles and edits Teacher Plus — a one-of-its-kind magazine that endeavours to provide new and innovative ideas and methods for classroom teaching, and provide a platform to teachers. Published as a bimonthly since 1989, Teacher Plus will be going monthly from January 2007 – a response to the growing need of the teaching fraternity.
